Tim Chorlton, Client Services Director

With over 21 years experience in the marketing industry Tim specialises in developing sales strategies both on and offline for a wide variety of customers. Gaining essential experience at Saatchi and Saatchi and GGT prior to setting up The Factory, Tim brings a wealth of marketing knowledge. Working in both B2B and B2C arenas,Tim has gained valuable insight and knowledge about what makes a campaign work. A creative background makes Tim vital in the early stages of a project due to his mix of creative ideas and marketing knowledge.

Marketing is very simple. If you sell apples, find people who like apples and tell them you sell apples.

Outside of work, Tim is a keen photographer as well as enjoying trekking, travel and wild camping.

Tim
Chris Hay, Marketing Director

Chris provides customer focused, measurable, results based campaigns to each of The factory’s customer segments. Initially trained as a designer, Chris moved to a Business Development Manager role with a large franchise operation and is currently working toward becoming a Chartered Marketer with CIM. His skills come together at The Factory, creating strategic marketing campaigns, managing creative projects from branding, to web site design and online marketing. Always focused on the customer, Chris’ analytical approach to results focused, objective based marketing allows The Factory to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns for their customers.

Constantly striving for excellence for our customers is a real buzz and something that we try to do each and every day. Seeing the business grow in knowledge and expertise over the years has been an exciting roller-coaster ride!

If Chris has any spare time between running The Factory and CIM studies (which is rare!) he spends it with with wife and daughter or occasionally on his bike around West Yorkshire.

Claire Bray, Account Manager

Claire ensures that client objectives are met and every project is delivered on time and within budget. A creative background enables Claire to fully understand each step of every project and to add value at each stage. Working with a many customers over the years, Claire has experience with government, public sector, private large scale PLC’s and SMEs. Her ability to build long lasting client relationships is based on honesty and reliability always ensuring that the clients’ brief is fully understood and translated into high quality finished work.

Working at The Factory is challenging and fast paced. There is a great team here and we always seem to have fun: even when the pressure is on!

When not focusing on her clients projects, Claire can often be found pacing the streets of Leeds as part of her running club (often fund raising and making a charitable contribution in the process).

Claire
Nic Waye, Senior Designer

Nic produces designs with flair using her experience gained at design agencies in Spain and Australia. Nic has designed many offline campaigns, including catalogues, DM and POS through to online campaigns including full websites, email campaigns, social network campaigns and online display media.

Being creative is not about being wacky, it’s about communicating with an audience in a way they will relate to.

Outside of work Nic is a self confessed fashion junkie and lives for three letters – F.U.N.

Simon Ainley, Lead Web Developer

Simon is our technical expert. Once our sites have been approved at the creative stage, the project is passed to Simon to build, test and publish. Simon joined us from one of Leeds largest digital agencies and has experience working on sites for DFS, Greggs and Yorkshire Forward to name but a few. He has a passion for all things digital and has expertise in (X)HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript.

Being a self-confessed geek, I’m naturally happy in front of a computer screen but I also have a passion for helping scope out solutions for our clients through forward planning and adding value through technical expertise.

Simon has an unhealthy obsession with Dr. Pepper and is often found sat behind his screen with a couple of bottle on the go. We think he is powered by the sugary drink.

Simon
Lee Brook, Studio Manager

Lee has over 15 years of experience designing for print. A traditional designer he has worked on campaigns for 100’s of major brands creating stunning brochures, catalogues and point of sale devices. As far as designed for print is concerned, if Lee doesn’t know it, it isn’t worth knowing.

Seeing work from concept through to finished job is something I never tire of. We all strive to create the best possible quality of work for our clients and try to have fun along the way!

Lee is a keen football fan and quite a rare one at that – he is Leeds born and bred and a Manchester United fan. He plays regularly for a local team and can often be found celebrating famous victories in the local pub.
